Colloidal silver is a suspension of silver particles in a liquid medium, typically distilled water. These particles are usually between 1 and 100 nanometers in size. Noble Alternative uses pharmaceutical-grade distilled water and 99.99% pure silver. For the reduction process we use a tiny sprinkle of citric acid (derived from citrus fruits like lemons and oranges) per gallon and/or a tiny sprinkle of aluminum free sodium bicarbonate for the balancing of the pH.

While colloidal silver is generally considered safe for short-term use when taken in appropriate doses, excessive use can lead to a condition called argyria, where the skin and mucous membranes turn a bluish-gray color. It is important to remember that colloidal silver cannot be used at the same time as anti-biotics. This means that if you are taking it for an extended period of time make sure to include probiotics separated by 4 hours from colloidal silver.  Examples of good probiotics are homemade sauerkraut, kombucha, water kefir or other homemade fermented goods to introduce healthy bacteria back into your gut.

Noble Alternative never allows any metal or plastic to come into contact with any colloidal silver and immediately bottles into dark, amber, glass bottles and stores in a cool, dark place until shipment.  The time between shipping and receiving is not too long for the product to be affected. When you receive it you do not need to store it in the refrigerator. Storing in the cabinet is fine.
